It is seven weeks until we go on our overseas trip. Tim's first time ever overseas. My second but the 1st was on a VERY organised trip with habitat for humanity (...check them out they're an amazing organisation). We have had the tickets booked for a couple of months but we seem to be lacking in other organisational areas...like booking train tickets...well first deciding exactly which places we want to go! At this stage we're flying into London to spend a week with a friend from high school, and her husband. On to Paris, Belgium, Amsterdam, Germany, Prague (for Christmas)....and then back to Germany to fly out of Hamburg! We are really excited and incredibly lucky to be going on this trip. So in the next 7 weeks, it's fine tuning the details, booking some places to stay...at least that's one thing we have done accommodation in Prague...and putting aside the winter gear to pack...and making sure we don't take too much!
Have you ever been on an overseas trip? Where was your favourite place to travel to?
Oh I'm so envious - can't wait to read about your trip!
ReplyDeleteI'm like your Husband - never been overseas. Furthest I have been is Hamilton Island. Lovely, though! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by at my blog! Isn't Blogtoberfest great? Only problem is I want to read everyone's blogs from now back to when they started, yours included. Needless to say, time will not permit!
ReplyDeleteMy husband & I have been twice to Japan, travelling the length and breadth. It is our most favourite place in the world. We also went to Bali (my sixth time, hubs second) and have fallen in love with Bali too. I think it is the company, more than the country though.
I hope you and your husband have the most wonderful trip!
Thanks for stopping by my blog & leaving a comment, I did carve the owl stamp.
ReplyDeleteI lived overseas for two years a while ago and the place I loved (we went back as part of our honeymoon) was Berlin. It is so interesting and a really cool city. That sounds a bit lame doesn't it...it is great though!
If you could visit Salzburg in Austria I hear they have amazing winter/Christmas markets. I went there in 'summer'and it is beautiful.
Sounds like a great trip. Buy lots! Looking forward to hearing all about it.
sounds great, i have never been overseas and have no immeadiate plans while the kidlets are little. I agree about the stress that is forced upon yr 12 students. the actual learning is not that stressful, its all the hype and carry on. I switched schools mid yr 12 because of the stress, made a big difference. thanks for visiting my blog, yours is a good read :-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you are going to have a lovely time! When are you going to be in London?
ReplyDeleteI love to travel! Off to NZ at the end of November with Husband and then somewhere (maybe Portugal) by myself next May. Lived in Scotland for a number of years - adored it but sheesh, it's cold! Austria is a lovely place as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog as well. Feeling a lot better and definitely have cheered about about the 'manflu' thing :-).
Its so encouraging to hear we arent the only ones who dont have everything booked and organised - makes it more exciting I think hehe
ReplyDeleteLove you Loz!
love blogtoberfest!!

Oh, I love Paris. One of my favourite cities on earth. Your trip sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteI've spent lots of time living and traveling in the USA too and love it. Favourite spots there are NYC, Denver, Portland, Seattle and Hawaii.
