Beyond Closure: Nancy Berns at TEDxDesMoines

If you have a spare 17 minutes, I'd really encourage you to watch this. A number of weeks ago a dear friend but this on her facebook feed. I got around to watching it and it is so profound. I've just watched it the once and when I was finished I was sobbing. Nancy hits the nail on the head.

  1. That's a beautiful TED talk Lauren. We've had a number of people going through the grieving process in church in the last couple of years and it's been my experience that that is so true, you would know it too... people just want someone to sit and be with them, to talk about their grief and their memories. It's a really timely reminder too that it's not something that just goes away or takes only a short time. Thanks for sharing. xx

  2. Thank you for sharing this talk. I'm trying to find it in my TED app so I can share this with my dear boyfriend so we can better support his grandmother who has been processing her grief of the passing of her husband last year...she might even appreciate watching this talk =-)
