my creative space

I really wish I could join in on this game more often but I often forget or miss it...or usually so tired by the time thursday comes around that i'm vegged on the couch in a catatonic state...well all of that is still true this week...except for the catatonia! ha  so this is what I have been doing this week in my creative space... and for the entire year to be precise

Our Daily Click is where Rachel, Anna and I put our photos ...most days eventually they find themselves there!

It helps me see different perspectives each day, beauty or fun I might often miss.

it means I can be creative every day even when I don't have time to physically make something.

my place or yours...what's on your key ring?

A very good tuesday...afternoon to you all! Hope you had a wonderful long weekend...(for those of you in Australia that is!) There is a long wait now til the next one so i hope you did something relaxing and fun!

back again for my place or yours...I've missed the last few weeks but I'm back again for the fun! This weeks theme is...what's on your keyring! Here are a couple of pictures!

There's the car key, office keys, unit key, mum and dad's house key...AND also one of their car keys, I'm not sure what I am STILL doing with one of those! :) All held together by the carrabeena (not sure of the spelling a rock climbing implement!) which explicitly says NOT for climbing!!!

The little keyring I got from my birthday from a wonderful friend...actually the same lady who makes the cute kids clothing from a couple of posts ago! The actual key ring is in the shape of a love heart! CUTE!! If you'd like to have a look at some other peoples places...head on over to helloowl and play along!

flea market finds

just one little visit into one of the port elliott "Bric a Brac" shops yesterday and i found this sweet plate for a very nice price of $2! there were some VERY lovely tea cups however didn't have the moula...we had been wine tasting earlier in the day...and it's off pay week let's face it the money tin is a little empty! :) Mr T did announce to me today he saw a coffee table there that might have been good for us but I was off somewhere else by then...the shop consisted of about 4 rooms..it just kept going I really would like to go back there! oh well we'll find one eventually! my year without...

For a while I've been seeing this dvd stare back at me from the shelf at the dvd store...and wondered what it would be like. I saw a reveiw of it here at Pip's place, watched the trailer and thought next time I go to the store I will hire it. So that's what I did today. It was really good! It is really interesting to see how the family deals with a pretty serious incident! I recommend it!

PS...It did get me thinking if I could go a whole year without something...going without sex for a whole year would be VERY complicated! But see even giving up something like...chocolate for a year that could have severe effects too!  Have a watch and tell me what you think!

rushed..therefore lamenting!

I took this photo today and thought I could use it for this project ...but that stupid shadow in the corner just ruined it a bit for me. I was at the year 12 retreat for the school I work at and students came over wanting to use the beads for the reflection bracelets they were making and I lost the chance...if only i had photo shop..AND knew how to use it!

flee market finds

Hooray I finally checked out the salvos that opened up down the road from me this week!

I found these lovely cups and got to use them the very same day with my sister! The best thing was the store was having a half price sale on bric a brac. Very happy about that! I also found a beautiful green scarf to tie in my hair! For more thrifty finds head over to her library adventures and play!

pin cushion swap

I was playing along with Kate...and A LOT of other ladies in the mammoth pin cushion swap. I decided to join in and it was so fun. It tested my sewing skills...i'm a bit of a novice! and My partner Karen at And sew I sew received her cushion today which was great because I only posted it Wednesday! I have confirmation she likes it too which was even better! A BIG THANK YOU to Kate for organising such a fun thing to do. It was fun to make something for a complete stranger! a sad day

Last night Mr T and I went here....

as we walked through the door we saw this...

so we enjoyed some delicious ice cream there...and bought LOTS to take home. Good bye baskins we will miss you! Not to mention Frank!

1. Going bra shopping and picking the first bra I tried on...first time that has happened...EVER it was so awesome!

2. Kaiser rolls and delicious capsicum chilli dip from the central markets...come to think of it the central markets in general!

I've been missing in action...our internet got cut or shaped or whatever they call it...but it seems to be better today! HURRAY so I am back in the game!

treats in the post

a couple of weeks ago it was my birthday. I thought all the presents had come and it was done for another year... but then this turned up in the post yesterday! 

Thanks Rebecca and Roelof...there might just be some tasty treats baked in our house this weekend...BUT only after this is done...

1. Black books...birthday present from Mr T...we love to watch it together...unfortunately the seasons are really short and we are almost done!

2. I saw this movie on the weekend...I cried at the end...it was sort of hard to understand at times...I think it has layers...like an onion, it is happy in the end though!

3. oh little belly boom I get to hang out with her today

and her pretty mum...and my pretty sisters too!

4. Easter weekend is also my favourite because I got to do lots of special things

5. The Shack...the book I am reading right now...which I picked up yesterday and read for 5 hours! :) Almost  done!

...road side pick up finds!

After Church a couple of weeks ago I was driving home...the usual way and I noticed the suburb I was driving through was having a road side pick up! So I stoped in front of one house because there was lots out the front and I saw a couple of suitcases that might have been half decent. The suitcases ended up being duds..BUT I did find this baby in a hard case!

After bringing it home...I didn't bring it inside straight away because I had only received my birthday sewing machine the day before and Mr T would not have been pleased to have more "treasures" in our small apartment!! So hence the delay in sharing! I'm not sure if it's working order but I will probably stick it under the bed until I am talking with someone who needs a sewing machine and doesn't have one.

The bobbin lives in a little hiddy hole which is similier to my mum's old machine and that was a real pain to change. So for now it is nice to look at! :)

Angus and Julia Stone oh my their new CD is just amazing, I bought it with some birthday money and it was a very good choice!

Mumford and Sons...another birthday money purchase...again can't get enough of it!
