This book as done as it's going to get!

It was lots of fun to work on the whole project AND  to relive our holiday a bit!

I especially enjoyed doing these pages...and we've been asked to be these little princesses God parents. How cool is that! (pretty cool if you ask me!)

I enjoyed this project so much that I am totally going to do a mini book again...it'll probably be the way I display my 365 photos!

What are you reading?

I've been totally engrossed in these books the past week or so. I polished off book one on the weekend and started book 2 immediately and I'm almost half way through. I have been having a few late nights because they have been so enjoyable to read...easy to read and I've warmed to the characters. The main girl gave the heebee jeebees when I first starting reading but she isn't nearly as annoying any more!

flee market finds

I am so happy to be playing along this week! It has been quite a while! I was so happy to get to do a little op shopping this week with a couple of my sisters and a brother in law. We just stopped in at one...save the children...oh goodness I always come out with many treats. And Monday was no different! This is one I would share with you today. This dress has $8 marked on it...but they were having a half price sale! It is SO BOLD! I don't think I will be brave enough to wear it for every day things but if a party comes up with a certain theme...totally wearing it! It fits perfectly!

date night

 Last weekend I went a bit bunter and went on a cleaning spree in the spare room. Chucked out heaps of papers and generally did a mass tidy up. We got given this flip calendar for our wedding...I hadn't flipped it since June last year and this was the saying for the day! So I organised a date night!

I have been having lots of fun finishing this off. It's been great to do it while the trip is still fresh and a great way to reflect on what fun we had! I have a couple of pages to finish up and then I am done! I'll have to start a new mini book! I've caught the bug...the mini book bug! :)

little knitted friends

My friend Nikki's mum (Erica) makes these little knitted animals! How cute are they! Here is Mr Wombat and Mrs Pig...(I just made those names up then can you tell!?) She offered to make us some of these to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity Lutheran schools trip (which is happening in July this year!) What a legend! Not only does she knit an assortment of animals ( Lions, Echidnas, Emu's, Catapillars, Sausage dogs, Owls, Penguins, Chickens, Sheep, Cockatoos...just to name a few) and little people (nurses, doctors, clowns, little red riding hood!) I wish I had her mad knitting schools!

Tonight Cairns and the towns close by are waiting with baited breath to wait out Cyclone Yasi. In the last couple of weeks some friends moved up there to start a new chapter in their lives. When we moved to Bundaberg in 1999 we would always see ad's on TV about cyclones and how to prepare for one. We got really freaked out then the locals would assure us it didn't happen often.
